Day one of Palace of Wheels starts from New Delhi, where our representatives will assists you for next destination Jaipur.
Thursday – Jaipur
On second day, we will reach Jaipur, one of the most well planned cities in India.Popularly known as the Pink City and Capital of Rajasthan, it was founded by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, in 1727 A.D. Air-conditioned coach takes you to HawaMahal, the Palace of Winds, which is a remarkable five storied building, followed by visit to Amber Fort, where elephant ride is available to climb up the hill area. Afterwards lunch at a Five Star Hotel followed by visit to City Palace Museum and Observatory.
Friday – Sawai Madhopur to Chittorgarh
On third day, Palace-on-Wheels will arrive atSawaiMadhopur, a city named after its founder Maharaja SawaiMadho Singh I. There we will visit Ranthambhore National Park. This wildlife sanctuary is considered to be the best for observing and photographing.SawaiMadhopur is also known for exclusive toys, ethnic ornaments and costumes. Afterwards we will leave for Chittorgarh.
Fourth day will be atChittorgarh. The city is full of love pictures; scars of battles lost and won;Chittorgarh Fort and lots more. Afterwards we will move ahead for our next destination Udaipur.
Sunday – Udaipur
On fifth day, we will reach Udaipur, the Lake City, founded by MaharanaUdai Singh of Mewar. The two most beautiful sites of Udaipur are the dream-like marble palaces- the Jag Niwas (Lake Palace) and the Jag Mandir, which appear to rise from the blue waters of Lake Pichola and last but not the least we will visit the City Palace.
Monday – Jaisalmer
On sixth day, we will reach the heart of TharDesert, Jaisalmer, founded by RawalJaisal, in 1156 A.D. Here the yellow sandstone fort is an imposing sight, towering magnificently over the city. You can also shop the fine pattu shawls, mirror work and embroidered articles, wooden boxes, trinkets, silver jewellery and curios. Also enjoy the exciting camel ride on the sand dunes of Sam and dinner with cultural program at a Five Star hotel.
Tuesday – Jodhpur
On seventh day, Palace-on-Wheels will reach Jodhpur, a city ringed by a high stone wall with seven gates and several bastions and also known as second largest city of Rajasthan, founded by RaoJodha in 1459 A.D. is known for its rock-solid Mehrangarh Fort. The grand palaces within -MotiMahal, Sheesh Mahal, PhoolMahal, SilehKhana and DaulatKhana are impressive examples of architectural excellence. You can also shop for exquisite handicraft articles, the famous breeches, embroidered shoes, metal curios, and silverware, paintings and tie and dye fabrics.
Wednesday – Bharatpur / Agra and Delhi
On eighth day, we will reach Bharatpur, the capital of Maharaja SurajMal. Famous for bird sanctuary, Keoladeo Ghana National Park, the nesting place for thousands of Egrets, Siberian Cranes, migratory Water Fowl and other species of birds.
Moving on our next destination will be Agra; there we will visit TajMahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Afterwards we will move towards Delhi
